How can I update my contact information?
The preferred method is through our online form. You can also email us at alumni@newschool.edu or call 212.229.5662 x3784. If you update your information with Alumni Relations, all university offices will have the correct information.

I just graduated. How do I get information about my diploma?
The registrar mails diplomas to all May graduates in mid-August and to all January graduates in mid-March. International students should allow four to six weeks for delivery. Your diploma is confirmation that your degree has been conferred, and you will not receive any other notification. If you have not received your diploma or a notification letter from the registrar by August 31 (for May graduates) or March 31 (for January graduates), contact the Office of the Registrar at RegHelp@newschool.edu or at 212.229.5620.

How can I get a copy of my transcript?
Follow the instructions on the Registrar's Office transcript website.

I need descriptions of the courses I took at The New School.
Send an email request to the Registrar's Office. The registrar will provide a maximum of ten course descriptions per request. Please allow seven working days for your request to be processed. To Inquire about the status of your request, email RegHelp@newschool.edu or call 212.229.5620.

What happens to my New School email after I graduate?
Student accounts are de-activated a few weeks after graduation. An email notification is sent to graduates about the status of their student accounts before deactivation. Anyone who graduated in 2011 or after will automatically receive a New School Google Apps for Education alumni email account. To access your Google Apps alumni email account, visit mail.alumni.newschool.edu.

I graduated before 2011. Can I get a new alumni email account?
Yes. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@newschoool.edu to request a Google Apps alumni email account.

How do I reset my Google Apps alumni email password?
Visit the password reset page to reset your alumni email password.

Can alumni use the wireless access on campus?
Yes, alumni can access the wireless network available all over the New School campus. Log in to the wireless network using the same user name and password you use for myNewSchool. If you have forgotten your myNewSchool account credentials, click the link below the myNewSchool log-in box to begin the process of retrieving your credentials. If you have forgotten your NetID, you can retrieve it using the Forgotten Password form (you will need your New School ID number). If you do not remember your New School ID number, you can call the Office of Alumni Engagement at 212.229.5662 x3784 to retrieve it after verifying your identity.

I recently graduated. When will I get my Alumni Association lifetime membership card?
You can request your card as soon as your degree has been conferred by the registrar (that is, as soon as you receive your diploma). Contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumni@newschool.edu or 212.229.5662 x3784 to confirm your mailing address, and they will issue the card.
