Parsons Summer Programs
Parsons The New School for Design offers summer programs in New York and Paris for pre-college, college, and adult learners. Pre-college students can enroll in Summer Intensive Studies New York, Summer Intensive Studies Paris, or Parsons Pre-College Academy. College-age and adult students can choose from Summer Intensive Studies New York, Summer Intensive Studies Paris, and Summer Studies in Constructed Environments. For students at the graduate level, Parsons offers three summer programs: Art and Design Education, Decorative Arts Graduate Seminar in France, and Leadership in the Arts.
Summer Writers Colony
Discover the writer's life in New York City. This intensive three-week summer program provides a supportive yet demanding atmosphere in which to develop as a writer. Students are offered the chance to embark on a new writing project or to devote a substantial amount of time to developing a work-in-progress. Writing workshop instructors guide discussion of student work and provide detailed written feedback. Summer literary salons bring notable writers into conversation with the students and faculty of the colony.
TESOL Summer Institute
The New School Summer Institute for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) brings educators up-to-date on the latest
developments in the field. This two-week, full-time professional
development program is taught by The New School's renowned English
Language Studies faculty and features a choice of workshops,
co-curricular activities, and organized tours and cultural activities in
and around New York City.
