    Student-Led Tours

    Current graduate students lead hour-long walking tours of the New School campus in Greenwich Village after a brief orientation by admission counselors. Advance reservations are encouraged but not required. We recommend the campus tour to all prospective students, regardless of their application status.

    Individual Admission Counseling

    Prospective graduate students are strongly encouraged to meet one-on-one with an admission counselor regardless of whether or not they have already submitted an application.

    • One-on-one appointments can be scheduled Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except when the university is closed for holidays or recesses.
    • From January 25 through April 19, we offer Saturday individual information meetings. Our Saturday hours are held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    Visit a Class in Session

    We're proud of our distinguished faculty and exceptional students. Experience a class for yourself by sitting in on a graduate seminar session. Class visits are available in the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy and the School of Media Studies.

    Download the Milano School class schedule, School of Media Studies class schedule, or the School of Language Learning and Teaching class schedule to find a time that works for you. Only one visitor is permitted in any class, so it is important to sign up early to get a date you prefer.

    The Office of Graduate Admission offers interactive admission information sessions online several times a year. As in on-campus information sessions, representatives of our academic programs and admission counselors to answer your questions.
