 : Academic Plan 2010

To The New School Community

The primary purpose of this draft Academic Plan for The New School in 2010 is to set out a broad framework for a coherent University-based approach to our academic future. It incorporates many aspects of our evolving vision of the University.  Although based on collaborative activity with the Schools, this Plan deliberately avoids spelling out detailed plans at the School level.  Each of the School plans is a work-in-progress.  Naturally, this Academic Plan itself will be the topic of refinement and discussion throughout the community in the Spring 2006.  Your Deans and Directors will arrange appropriate ways to solicit your ideas.

Arjun Appadurai
Provost
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
