Miscellaneous
Services
- Film Rental Returns
This system is designed to insure correct and rapid return of
films to distributors.
Departments forwarding films to Mail Services for return to a
distributor must:
- Complete a Film Slip form. Retain the Pink Copy, send
the White and Yellow Copies with the film to Mail Services.
- All relevant portions of the form must be completed to
reduce New School liability for lost films. Check the designated
areas for Film playing time and Shipping
code which best describe the length of the film and
the insurance value.
- Place the films in the correct casings before forwarding
them to Mail Services.
- The complete forwarding address must be placed on the
label supplied by the distributor.
The films are insured and sent UPS Groundtrac, unless the department
requests Next-Day delivery. Mail Services will retain the Yellow
Copy of the Film Slip and return the White Copy to the department
for their records.
Forwarding insurance is computed as follows:
- Films 30 minutes or less, are insured at the rate of $500.00
- Films 30 to 90 minutes, are insured at the rate of $1000.00
- Films 90 minutes or more, are insured at the rate of $2000.00
- Purchasing Postage Stamps
Departments requesting postage stamps to transact New School business,
should submit a Check Disbursement Form to the Accounting Department.
When you receive the check, send it to the Mail Services department
with the necessary instructions (quantity, denomination, and type
of stamps - precancelled, self adhesive or gummed). Mail Services
will process your request the same day we receive the check.
- Charge-backs Reports
Detailed computerized reports of charge-backs for First-Class
mail, Presort mail, Duplicating, Printing, FedEx, UPS or Messenger
service are available from Mail Services.
