Welcome to The New School! As a new faculty member of the university, we are providing you with important information which will be helpful to you prior to the commencement of your first semester.
All new faculty members are required to attend Orientation. If you were unable to attend the Orientation on August 27, 2009, we are providing you with topics and materials which were covered and distributed during Orientation below. To access the materials, please click on the appropriate document title in the Handouts/Websites column.
Provided below is a short checklist to help you expedite administrative matters. You should have the following tasks completed before your first day of class:
- Get your Banner ID # from your division representative.
- Contact your division representative regarding obtaining a university photo ID (“newcard”)
- Go to my.newschool.edu to activate your electronic accounts.
- Access BlackBoard, ALVIN and GroupWise WebMail via my.newschool.edu
- Check university email (via my.newschool.edu) frequently for important announcements and updates
