The Office of Grants & Sponsored Projects (OGSP) is administered centrally through the University Development Office (UDO). The OGSP/UDO responsible for

  • advancing proposal development
  • coordinating pre-award authorization procedures
  • monitoring post-award compliance for all divisions of the University
  • facilitating grant-related contracts

The OGSP/UDO is the liaison between all internal University administrative areas concerned with corporate, foundation or government grants—Finance, the Office of General Counsel, the Provost, and the President’s Office—as well as external funders.

The OGSP/UDO supports the University Faculty, Deans and Officers in their efforts to secure external funding for research, administrative and academic programs as well as University-wide projects. The OGSP/UDO furnishes research on prospective funders to identify and develop an active base of institutional funding in order to advance the University’s mission of research, teaching and public service. The OGSP/UDO can provide assistance at every stage of the grant seeking process and aids in troubleshooting and simplifying the grants management process.

This site’s purpose is:

  • To inform the New School community about policies and procedures related to grants and sponsored projects at the University;
  • To provide useful tools and information for grant seekers in order to identify potential sponsoring agencies;
  • To facilitate proposal development and external funding
