Banner2000 Project

The New School University Banner2000 Project

New School University is currently replacing its key administrative computer systems, affecting the Student, Finance, Financial Aid and Human Resources operations. A detailed analysis of our present and future computing needs and a thorough examination of available products and solutions led to the selection of SCT Corporation's Banner2000TM as the replacement for the current legacy systems.

The Banner2000 System will greatly enhance information access and management for students, faculty and administrators. Among the key objectives of implementing this new system are to deliver superior service to students and faculty; automate administrative solutions; augment reporting capacities; provide up-to-date decision-making support; enhance the professional culture of the institution; and deliver enhanced human resource capabilities. The end result of this project will be a more effective, efficient and productive university.

The Banner2000 system is a state-of-the-art client-server computing system. It is based upon proven and scalable technologies and has been successfully implemented in many colleges and universities worldwide. What this means for individuals is simplified information access and management capabilities from both easy-to-use PC desktop software and the World Wide Web. What it means for the institution is a homogenous administrative computing system that addresses our current and long term needs.

Additional information about the Banner2000 product suite can be found at SCT's web site.
