![]() Banner2000 System Requirements The Banner2000 client software is designed to operate on a PC running the Microsoft Windows operating system. Though Banner2000 software does not run natively on the Apple Macintosh, support options are available for those who must run the application on this platform. Note: All PCs currently distributed by the New School University meet the hardware requirements needed to run Banner2000 software. It is intended that those systems utilizing 15-inch monitors will be upgraded to 17-inch monitors as Banner comes closer to production release. If you have any questions regarding your current hardware and Banner system compatability, please contact Shelley Reed. The following is the recommended system requirements to run the Banner2000 client from a desktop PC. Any system meeting or exceeding these requirements will satisfactorily run the Banner2000 software.

For Web Access (minimum browser requirements)
Macintosh Support Banner2000 software is able to be used on the Apple Macintosh using the Connectix Virtual PC with Windows 2000 software, a Windows 2000 emulation package that can be installed on the Mac. Whenever possible, Banner2000 should be run from a Windows-based PC with that matches the above stated minimum technical requirements. Use of the Virtual PC software on the Macintosh to run Banner2000 should be considered only after all possibilities to use the software in a Windows environment have been exhausted. The Virtual PC option will suffice only for casual Banner2000 users, not for those who will be using it extensively on a day-to-day basis.
