MANNES COLLEGE OF MUSIC
Bruce Adolphe was named composer-in-residence at Mannes College of Music. He is a composer of chamber, orchestral, theatrical and operatic works that have been performed by Itzhak Perlman, the Beaux Arts Trio and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. He also is education director and music administrator of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. His books include

Richard Cross has been appointed a faculty member in the voice department at Mannes College of Music. For nearly 20 years, he performed as lead bass-baritone of the Frankfurt Opera. His guest appearances include major roles with the Budapest Opera, New York City Opera, Washington Opera at the Kennedy Center, San Antonio Opera and Miami Opera. As a soloist, he has performed with the symphony orchestras of Chicago, San Francisco, Montreal, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. He records on the RCA, CBS-Masterworks, London and Westminster labels.
Thomas Smith joins the brass chamber music faculty at Mannes College of Music. He holds a B.M. with distinction from the New England Conservatory. As a freelance musician in Boston, he played with Sarah Caldwells Opera Company of Boston, Gunther Schullers New England Ragtime Ensemble, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the Boston Pops, Boston Symphony, Boston Ballet and the Boston Lyric Opera. He has recorded with the Empire Brass, the Boston Pops and the New England Ragtime Ensemble.
