Jim Savio's collection of short fiction The Fairy Flag and Other Stories was published by Spuyten Duyvil Press in December of 2001. Several stories that appear in the collection won fiction awards. His work has appeared in, The Promethean, One,Three, Eight, The Brooklyn Rail, sonabooks.net and The Salt Journal. Jim is a certified yoga instructor and teaches Literature, Film Studies and Fiction Workshops at The City College of New York. He is currently working on a novel and short story collection set in 1950s Brooklyn, where he grew up. His advice to students: Be Curious!
