This studio provides the student with a thorough introduction to various aspects of time-based media, including video, audio, and animation. Students are taught to apply their creative and technical skills to story-telling and the use of time-based design as it applies to all media. Studio assignments provide the student with a broad overview of current technologies and historical perspectives, and students execute projects in several different media?both analog and digital. Projects range from traditional storyboarding and animation to experimental broadcast design, digital video production and multi-track sound mixing.Open to: Freshmen only
