Design Studio 2 emphasizes the issues of materiality, program and site, and culminates in an annex and library for the Museum of Natural History in NYC. In a series of related design problems, this studio investigates connections between interior design and the architectural implications of a small building in an urban context. Also examined is the relationship between living/dead matter and textual representation within the larger subject of collection and display.Open to: ARD or IND sophomores only
