Profile:
Joshua Simon is a post-doctoral fellow with the Department of Politics for 2012-13. He works on Latin American political thought, tracing debates on imperialism, constitutionalism, and pan-Latin Americanism from the end of the colonial period to the present day. He has published in History of Political Thought and Settler Colonial Studies and is currently working on a book, titled The Ideology of Creole Revolution, which proposes a general framework for understanding the leading ideas of the independence movements in the United States and Latin America.
