Arts in Mind returns with a night of conversation
about works of art that bring succor--or even psychological rescue--in
vulnerable times. The night is called "This Piece Saved My Life," and
features a variety of writers and artists identifying the piece that
saved THEIR lives, including: Nick Flynn, Yance Ford, Jeremy Safran,
Anna Schuleit, Andrew Solomon, and Lynne Tillman. Arts in Mind is a series of public conversations held in New
York City with leading artists (representing the literary, visual, multimedia,
and performing arts) whose work touches on mental health issues. Arts in
Mind is hosted at The New School by the Sándor Ferenczi Center https://www.newschool.edu/nssr/sandor-ferenczi-center/ and made possible through the creative input
and financial support of the Austen Riggs Center. For more information, go to artsinmind.org.
