During the past few decades there
has been a resurgence of pragmatism.
Kant was a primary source of inspiration for Charles S. Peirce, the
founder of American Pragmatism. In course we will focus on contemporary
versions of Kantian Pragmatism and its critics.
Readings
will include selections from Wilfrid Sellars, John McDowell, Robert Brandom,
Hilary Putnam, Jürgen Habermas, and Richard Rorty.
