Parsons The New School for Design is proud to honor Dr. William C. Fung of Li & Fung Ltd. and designer Vera Wang at the 2010 Fashion Benefit, Monday April 26, 2010, at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers. The event will serve to honor each for their contributions to the fashion industry, and support Parsons as it shapes the future of art and design education.

We are proud to pay tribute to these two individuals. With Li & Fung Ltd., William Fung has made his mark globally as a leader in business and a generous supporter of education and community. Vera Wang’s life stands as a stunning example of how creativity in design can pave a path to success.

This annual black tie event brings industry leaders together to celebrate the future of fashion design and pay tribute to legendary fashion industry icons.

The Benefit spotlights graduating Parsons Fashion student work and raises much-needed funds for scholarships at Parsons, ensuring that future generations will benefit from their imaginative and innovative work. The event provides a celebration of the launch of these students into the professional design world, continuing the legacy of Parsons Fashion program, which has educated such alums as Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi, Derek Lam, Proenza Schouler, Peter Som, Narciso Rodriguez, and Ashleigh Verrier.
